Spring is finally here!

With the weather finally breaking and the ground drying up, we were able to get out to play a round robin in Shippensburg. The Team was ready to finally dig their cleats into the dirt and play ball.

The Team started out the day with a bang beating TnT West 11 - 0.  Spangler collected 7 K's and 1 BB and the defense didn't allow a batter to reach base all game. On offense the Team put up 11 runs on 8 hits with 11 walks.

In the second game the Team started out a little slow against the Phoenix/Warriors only to turn up the heat to win 10 - 6. In the first inning the Team put up 3 runs and surrendered 4 runs. In the second inning the girls turned on the bats and never surrendered the lead after that point. The 10 runs were earned form 13 hits and 2 bb's. The defense allowed 7 hits with 0 errors for the game.

The third game was a tough one against the Heartbreakers 04 team losing 4 - 1. The Team was able to get runners on base in all but one inning but weren't able to push a run across until the last inning. They had a runner in scoring position when a fielders choice got the third out preventing the score and cutting the lead in half.

The Team showed that they have worked hard all winter and are able to play with any team. It was great to finally see them outside playing the game they all love.
